🎯 Module Overview (Preview)

Module 3 introduces Python-based GIS workflows using containerized development environments (GitHub Codespaces). You’ll learn to:

• Develop Python GIS applications in cloud-based containers
• Use Jupyter notebooks for reproducible spatial analysis
• Process tabular data with Pandas
• Perform vector spatial operations with GeoPandas
• Handle coordinate reference system transformations programmatically
• Document and share Python-based GIS analysis

Why This Matters: Python is the dominant programming language in modern GIS, enabling automation, advanced analysis, and integration with data science workflows. Containerized development (via GitHub Codespaces) eliminates “it works on my machine” problems and provides consistent, professional development environments.
